Books!

Hello and welcome to my experiment with longer stories, lovingly referred to as novels and novellas. All of my short stories serve as an exploration into various ideas to see if something is ignited in my, and your, imagination. Should those characters go on to tell a greater story? Are they paving the way for something else in that world?

So what’s the difference between a novella and a novel? A novella is normally between 10,000 to 60,000 words and a novel can be 50,000 to 250,000 or more. I think another factor beyond length is the amount of world building involved, but that’s something that I think evolves over time as well and you’ll generally see more practiced authors doing this regardless of the medium they choose, but it’ll be more obvious in longer works.

This seemed like a daunting task at first, but as I expand each story, it becomes more real with each page. I’m posting each of these as I write them and I often don’t know what exactly the next chapter will hold. It’s an exciting journey that I hope you’ll join me on.

So without further ado, I present to you my first project.
