Then and Now

Quickly now, off you go
Explore the world you don't know
Keep him close, keep him safe
Mind the mob, safety seek 'fore they strafe

Foreign world from which I grew
Today is known to each askew
Will they know it as a haze?
Can it be their never-ending maze?

Once known for its majesty
We are wrapped up in pageantry
Oft we walked hand in hand
Now they seek to divide the land

No more of tomorrow
Not til all suffer sorrow
A drop of hope they will avoid
No peace allowed or enjoyed

How much time must pass?
How much blood must fill the glass?
No more God they screech
When He alone their hearts can reach

The family, it must die?
Have they even thought to try?
In my children I will instill
The truth of His holy will
